Corrosion Chambers

Overview

T3 offers two types of corrosion test chambers: the Cyclic Corrosion Chamber and the Basic Salt Spray Chamber. The Cyclic Corrosion Chamber supports multiple standards, including automotive, and alternates between salt spray and various humidity programs. This method provides a more accurate simulation of real-world conditions compared to traditional salt spray testing, which typically operates at a single temperature (ambient to 55°C) and lacks elements like condensation and humidity. The Basic Salt Spray Chamber is fully compliant with ASTM B117, the most widely used test standard in the industry.

T3’s corrosion test chambers are designed to meet over 100 international standards, including ASTM, ISO, JASO, and GM. The Basic model focuses on continuous salt spray tests, complying with standards like ASTM B117 and offering neutral (NSS), acetic acid (ASS), or cupric acid (CASS) salt solutions. While salt spray tests are valuable for quality control and corrosion resistance comparisons, cyclic corrosion testing provides a more comprehensive reflection of real-world conditions. T3 ensures reliable, versatile, and standards-compliant corrosion testing for a wide range of applications.
